A public research institute and university located in Fukuoka Prefecture are researching adsorbents for environmental purification. They requested our cooperation, leveraging our expertise in mica, and we conducted joint research. As part of this project, it was necessary to conduct fundamental research on suitable conditions for high-efficiency mica adsorbents. Okabe Mica Industry has the capability to procure mica and has experimental expertise through specialized chemical staff. In this project, qualitative confirmation and identification of the synthesized replacement mica were conducted by experienced analytical chemists, who analyzed how much ion species were adsorbed. Furthermore, we were able to quickly explore methods through a broad network of industry-academia-government collaboration, allowing for rapid consideration of synthesis methods and granulation.
